SUBJECT OF CONSENT:

International Educators Association (ULUED) (“Association”) takes all necessary technical and legal measures in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, international agreements on human rights to which our country is a party, the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“PDPL”) and other relevant legislation, for the processing of your personal data within the scope of its activities.

Within this framework, we would like to inform you as the Data Controller under the PDPL.

The personal data you share with our Association in the capacity of “Contestant” for the “Bright Futures Competition” organized by our Association will be processed in accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“PDPL”), for purposes compliant with the competition, only for the duration of the competition, and will be deleted at the end of the competition.

PURPOSES OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

The following personal data will be processed for these purposes in this competition:

Identity data:

Your identity information including name, surname, gender, and date of birth; for the purpose of evaluating your competition application and registering you for the competition,

Contact data:

Your mobile phone number and e-mail address (optional); to share updates and announcements regarding the competition, to manage award processes if you win a prize, and to inform you about future “Bright Futures” competitions,

Exam data:

Information on correct/incorrect answers and exam results; for the purpose of evaluating the exam,

Disability status:

Your disability status; to identify participation of individuals with disabilities and to provide additional support where needed,

Other:

Information about the province, district, and name of the school you attend; for the organization of the exam and management of the award processes.

STORAGE AND DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data processed by our Association will be destroyed once the purpose of processing has been fulfilled.

RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

Under Article 11 of the Law, everyone has the right to apply to the Data Controller to:

• a) Learn whether their personal data have been processed,
• b) Request information if their personal data have been processed,
• c) Learn the purpose of processing and whether data are used accordingly,
• ç) Know the third parties at home or abroad to whom personal data are transferred,
• d) Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data,
• e) Request deletion or destruction of personal data under the conditions set out in Article 7 of the Law,
• f) Request notification of third parties to whom personal data have been transferred pursuant to (d) and (e),
• g) Object to results against themselves arising from analysis of processed data by exclusively automated systems,
• ğ) Request compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing of their personal data.

You may submit your requests under Article 11 (“Rights of the Data Subject”) of the Law in writing to the International Educators Association at Eyüp Sultan Mah. Tabaklı Sok. No:2/7 Sancaktepe / Istanbul, in accordance with the “Communiqué on Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller.”

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

Contestants’ personal data will not be shared with third parties or institutions.

CONSENT:

I hereby give my explicit consent, having been fully informed and without any hesitation, for my personal data to be processed as described above.

Contestants may register by giving their consent.
