Bright Futures Book Reading Competition Exam Implementation Principles
- Registrations will be made at aydinlikyarinlara.com.
- The Bright Futures Book Reading Competition will be organized on a voluntary basis.
- Contestants will take the exam online at aydinlikyarinlara.com. Competition results will also be announced on this site.
- The exam dates set for the categories are December 20–21, with the times indicated below. However, if necessary, exam times may be changed. In such a case, an announcement will be made on the competition website.
- Exam date for primary schools: Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 13:00
- Exam date for middle schools: Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 16:00
- Exam date for high schools: Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 19:00
- Exam date for adults: Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 19:00
- It is essential to start the exam on time and submit answers as soon as possible. In the event of a tie score, the contestant who finishes earlier ranks higher. For example: if one contestant finishes at 13:40 with the highest score and another finishes at 13:50 with the same score, the one who finishes at 13:40 is accepted as first and the one at 13:50 as second. If contestants still tie with the same score and exact time (seconds and milliseconds will be considered), an additional exam will be held only for them.
- Questions will be multiple choice.
- In primary school: 3 options; middle school: 4 options; high school and adults: 5 options.
- Duration is 50 minutes. (No extra time will be given to those who log in late.)
- If a student disconnects for any reason, they may rejoin from the same or a different device and continue where they left off. However, if they log in simultaneously on different devices, one session will be canceled.
- The exam is completed by clicking the “Finish Exam” button. Exiting the exam screen without clicking “Finish Exam” invalidates the attempt. When time expires, the exam will end automatically and all answered questions up to that point will be evaluated.
- If a contestant finishes and reenters, the first attempt will be considered valid.
- Answers submitted after time expires will not be evaluated.
- During the exam, leaving the exam screen, browsing other tabs, or seeking help is prohibited. Contestants who engage in these behaviors will have their exam invalidated.
- 40 questions will be asked, scored out of 100 points. Each question is worth 2.5 points, and 0.50 points will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Online Exam Hall: opens 30 minutes before each exam. Contestants will first enter the online hall, review and accept the terms, then wait for the exam to start. Exams will begin on time. For example: for the adult exam, the hall opens at 18:30. Those who can access the system should wait; those who cannot should contact our coordinators. You must enter the system and accept the terms before 19:00. The exam will start at 19:00 Turkey time.
- Any person caught cheating will have their exam invalidated.
- Contestants who win awards will be asked to provide documentation (student ID/residence certificate).
- For the top 10 contestants in each category, a second exam will be held to confirm that they have read the book and that the person taking the exam is indeed the contestant.
- a) Award-winning contestants will take an online exam. Failure to attend invalidates the award.
- b) The exam will consist of 40 questions over 50 minutes, supervised by the commission.
- c) Contestants must keep their camera and microphone on during the exam. Failure to do so invalidates the exam and disqualifies them from the award.
- d) In addition to errors, contestants receive a margin of 3 extra questions and extra time equal to 25% of the exam duration.
- e) The commission’s decision regarding exam results is final.
- f) This exam will be conducted between December 25–31, 2023.
